Borussia Dortmund have sacked their cup-winning coach Thomas Tuchel, according to reports in Germany.
The 43-year-old, who succeeded Jurgen Klopp at Signal Iduna Park, only led his team to German Cup glory last weekend.
But his tenure has been cut abruptly short after reports of a strained relationship with the club’s board, Bild have claimed.
Dortmund beat Eintracht Frankfurt to win the German Cup on Saturday and finished third in the Bundesliga to qualify for the Champions League.
Relations between Tuchel and chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke have been strained since Dortmund’s team bus was damaged by an explosion on 11 April.
Dortmund declined to comment when approached on Tuesday.
After taking on the top job in July 2015, Tuchel went on to become one of the best coaches in Dortmund’s history, averaging more than two points per Bundesliga game.
