The Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Abba Kyari has assured the protesting Super Falcons players that their outstanding allowances will be paid on Friday.

The Falcons defeated host Cameroon, 1-0 in the African Women Cup of Nations final earlier this month to win its 8th title.

However since they won the title they are yet to be paid their outstanding allowances which reportedly amounts to $16,500 for winning the tournament.

The players say they were offers N100, 00 each but they rejected it and demanded for all their outstanding allowances.

They had taken their protest to the National Assembly on Wednesday demanding that their issues be addressed by the country’s president Muhammadu Buhari who was supposed to present the 2017 budget to the legislature on Wednesday.

However, the president failed to arrive the National Assembly on time and the players were addressed by his Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari.

He assured the player that their allowances will be paid within the next ‘two days’.
