Super Eagles stars, Vincent Enyeama and Ahmed Musa have made the shortlist of five for the 2014 African Footballer of the Year award.

CAF announced the five-man shortlist, and Enyeama and Musa survived the chop in an initial 25-man list released by the African football governing body in November.

However, Musa and Enyeama will have to slug it out with Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang of Gabon and the current African Footballer of the Year, Yaya Toure.

The African football apex is expected to release the final shortlist of three for the 2014 African Footballer of the Year before the Glo-Caf Awards in Lagos on 8 January.
