Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho has told Real Madrid that he will only accept a deal for David De Gea if Toni Kroos is included as part of the offer, according to Spanish transfer outfit Gol Diario.

The Spanish giants have been pursuing De Gea for a number of years after club legend Iker Casillas moved to Porto, but Manchester United have always been unwilling to negotiate any sort of deal for the goalkeeper.

Once again, Real Madrid appear to be back in the market for the Spanish number one, with president Florentino Perez keen to make a marquee signing as a statement of intent ahead of the new season.

If Manchester United are to negotiate any sort of deal for De Gea, Mourinho has made it clear that he would want a player in return – with the Portuguese boss setting his sights on playmaker Toni Kroos as his main target.

Kroos has been an integral player for both club and country this season, and Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane will be reluctant to let the German international go – even if it would mean finally bring David De Gea to the Bernabeu.

Mourinho is said to also be a keen admirer of defender Raphael Varane and Brazilian midfielder Casemiro, and the Manchester United boss would be more likely to sell De Gea should either of these players be included in a swap deal.

David De Gea has formed the backbone of Manchester United after a shaky start to life at Old Trafford, and the Red Devils will be keen to ensure they can bring in another world class shot-stopper should De Gea make the move to the Spanish capital.
