Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has been named the Barclays Premier League Manager of the Month for December and he becomes the first manager to win it four times consecutively.
The award which was announced by the Premier League on their verified Twitter handle on Friday.
Guardiola beat off competition from Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp, Crystal Palace’s Roy Hodgson, Sam Allardyce of Everton, Antonio Conte of Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur’s Mauricio Pochettino.
City won seven and drew one of the eight domestic matches last month, with only Crystal Palace holding the Premier League leaders to a surprise 0-0 draw at Selhurst Park.
City scored 19 goals in December and bagged four on three different occasions and defeated Spurs, West Ham, Bournemouth, Newcastle, Swansea, Leicester and Manchester United.
The winner was selected by a combination of votes from a panel of experts and the public.
