Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba has been ruled out of the Champions League quarter-finals and faces a battle to be fit for the end of the season.
The 22-year-old limped out of Juve’s 3-0 last 16 win against Dortmund on Wednesday.
The Serie A champions’ medics have said that Pogba will be out for around 50 days, meaning he could be fit for the final three matches of the season.
However, Pogba will miss both legs of next month’s Champions League quarter-finals as well as the first leg of the semi-final, should Juventus progress, which takes place on May 5.
Massimo Allegri’s side are 14 points clear of second-placed Roma in the league, but the news will come as a blow to their European hopes.
Juve have not advanced past the quarter-final stage since 2002/03, when they lost to Milan in the final.
