Nigerian NBA Star, Aminu Leads Blazers Over Mavericks

D’Tigers star, Al-Farouq Aminu, made his 34th NBA appearance for Portland Trail Blazers this morning at the American Airlines Center where they narrowly defeated the Dallas Mavericks 114-113.

The win was a revenge over the Dallas Mavericks who defeated the Portland Trail Blazers by four points last Friday 108-104.

Shooting guard, C.J McCollum’s last second shot saved the Portland Trail Blazers with 0.3 seconds remaining after Dirk Nowitzki has hit a three pointer with three second left.

The win was Portland Trail Blazers’ 23rd of the season, and for the Mavericks, it was their 32nd defeat of the season.

Prior to this game, Aminu had only played six minutes as a forward, but against Dallas Mavericks the 26 year old NBA star featured for 28 minutes in his preferred role and scored 12 points with 11 rebounds, one assist, one steal, one block and two triples.

Aminu is expected to be in action for Portland Trail Blazers when they host the Boston Celticson Friday.
