The Eagles who were placed in a tough group which also includes two former African Champions, Zambia and Cameroon, started off on a good note with 2-1 victory in Zambia.

The win left the Eagles on 3 points, 2 points ahead of Algeria and Cameroon who played out a 1-1 draw in the other group game
Nigeria’s next match is against Algeria on November 12.

Only the top team will qualify from the group as one of Africa’s five representative to the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
