Manchester City captain, Vincent Kompany is back to the medical room to treat his 15th injury in five years which he sustained while on international duty with Belgium.
The City captain picked up the injury playing against Gibraltar on August 31 but carried on playing, with the decision made even more bizarre by the fact that Belgium crushed their opponents 9-0.
Kompany was also absent from City’s emphatic 5-0 victory over Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool side at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Kompany’s latest setback is his 15th injury in just five years and the 31-year-old will be hopeful of just a very short spell out on the sidelines this time round.
The absence of Kompany leaves Pep Guardiola with a big problem at the back but he would definitely have been cheered up by Ederson’s speedy recovery after the goalkeeper suffered a horror injury against Liverpool.
